Apple has added a variety of customization options for the iPhone Lock Screen. And one of my favorite features is the ability to add eye-catching widgets and customize the Lock Screen clock. Notably, you can even change the Lock Screen clock to Devnagari, which is used in the Indian subcontinent. So, if you want to make your Lock Screen clock a bit more personalized, follow along to get started.
How to Change Lock Screen Clock Language to Devanagari (2024)
How does changing the iPhone Lock Screen clock work on iOS 18? The latest iteration of iOS provides a neat way to tweak the font and color of the Lock Screen clock. Slightly buried in the “Font & Color” menu exists an option to change the language. Thanks to the support for a number of languages including several Indian languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and more, you have the full freedom to give the Lock Screen an Indian touch.
- To get going, press the power button to access the Lock Screen and use your Face ID/Touch ID to authenticate.
- After the successful authentication, long-press on the screen and tap on the Customize button at the bottom of the Lock Screen wallpaper you would like to customize.
- Tap the Lock Screen option.
- Hit the time reading to bring up the font and color menu.
- After that, tap on the “Globe” icon that appears in the top left corner of the menu.
- Now, choose “Devnagari” from the options.
- After that, you can choose the preferred font and color for a more attractive look. Check out the handy slider that allows you to perfectly adjust the appearance of the selected font/color.
- What’s more, you can also make the clock appear in rainbow colors by selecting the Rainbow swatch.
- Having customized the Lock Screen, tap on the “X” button at the top right to get out of the menu.
- Once you have perfectly customized the Lock Screen and changed its clock language, do not forget to tap on the Done button at the top right and you are good to go.
Such has been the pace with which Apple has amped up the iOS Lock Screen customization game that you can’t help but admire the effort. Granted, there are still quite a few areas where Android does seem to be a little ahead of the curve on the customization front. Nevertheless, iOS has managed to fight out the battle with enhanced efficiency. As an end user, this is precisely what you want to ensure neither Apple nor Google decides to rest on the laurels. What do you think?
